Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the novice is still one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really happening.
